Quarken 27 Cabin

Enquire

The Quarken 27 Cabin offers exceptional build quality, superb state-of-the-art Nordic design, and fantastic performance.

Quarken is a bold new brand from Finland that has taken the Adventure Boat market head on, by winning “Best Sports Boat up to 30 Feet” in the highly respected 2023 Motor Boat Awards. This was an incredible achievement for the first model they produced.

Not only is Quarken designed in Finland, it is built in Finland, the home of some of the finest craftsmen in the world. Each Quarken is meticulously produced to exacting standards, so you can be assured of incredible quality and durability.

The 27 Cabin’s innovative design ensures safe comfortable access to the bow, while still retaining plenty of room in the main cabin. This is a challenge to accomplish on a sub 30’ boat, and Quarken’s clever implementation of an offset cabin is how they achieved it.

Ahhh, the joy of a dry, warm cabin can’t be understated in the cooler months, or in the case of unforeseen weather. And on the Quarken Cabin, you won’t feel separated from your surroundings, thanks to the panoramic glass. This makes it an absolute joy to drive, and an equally inviting area to take a spell out of the sun or inclement weather. It offers 5 forward facing seats with luxurious trim that can be reconfigured to enable several guest-facing dining options. The sliding door access to the walk around enables easy movement around the boat for guests and makes single handled operation a breeze with direct access to the port midship cleat. There is also sliding door access aft, and a sliding window on the starboard side adjacent to the helm. This enables direct access to the midship cleat and provides excellent cross flow ventilation. The helm is appointed with the latest technology from Garmin, Yamaha, and Fusion, and is positioned off centre to the starboard side.

The Reviews

Boat Life

Reviewed by Dan Jones of ‘Dan’s Boat Life’ fame, Dan was immensely impressed with its extremely high quality and superb, Scandinavian design. It seems the rest of the boating community have been equally impressed, with the following statement from Quarken being recently made; “We are pleased to announce that the Quarken 27 has been nominated for the prestigious ‘European Powerboat of the Year 2023’ award during the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2022. This award is considered the boating industry’s Oscar for the best new motorboats of the season.” Born in Finland.

One of the most apparent innovations is the large pilothouse-style cabin, which is offset to the starboard side. The front window features a slightly reversed rake angle and a substantial ‘eyebrow’ to shield the glass from glare and rain. On the port side of the cabin, there’s a high-gunwale, single-level walkway connecting the cockpit to the foredeck.

It is sometimes said that there is “nothing new under the sun.” And this holds true for many of the boats we review, which are an evolution of previous models, with perhaps some refinement of an existing design. However, every so often, something emerges that shatters these preconceived notions.

Quarken / Motor Boat

As on the T-Top model, rather than opting for a full walkaround design, Quarken has offset the wheelhouse to starboard to create more space inside the cabin at the expense of a starboard side deck. That leaves room for a deep walkway along the port side, linking the aft cockpit with the more spacious foredeck lounge up front.
